If Chelsea is ready to trading Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United might sign Nicolas Jackson.

The asking price for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson is the subject of conflicting reports from England. It was confirmed, nevertheless, that Manchester United had been interested in the Senegal striker ever since it became clear that Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon preferred Arsenal to them.

It was previously reported that Chelsea have set their young striker’s price at £100 million. Sky Sports denied rumours that the Blues were persuaded to lower the asking price to £43 million due to United’s interest. The news outlet stated that even if Chelsea lowered their demand, they would not accept a price lower than £80 million.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea has been persuaded that Jackson cannot be sold for less than the £79 million that Liverpool paid for Hugo Ekitike. The African striker will therefore continue to be an expensive option for prospective bids even if the £100 million demand has been abandoned.

Given that the player’s current contract is set to expire in 2033, the FIFA Club World Cup winners are also not in a rush to sell him. When it comes to Manchester United, a trade involving Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho is their best option.

The 20-year-old winger, who was previously connected to Napoli, is being pursued by Chelsea. Chelsea cannot afford to make another high-profile acquisition before selling someone, and if they are confident they have the right player, a trade might benefit both parties. However, sources in the English media stated that such a discourse is far off.

The anticipated market worth of Jackson is approximately £43 million, which is comparable to the price that United has set for Garnacho. It begs the question of whether a trade might be finalised in which Jackson would arrive at Old Trafford and the Argentine would transfer to Chelsea.

The future of Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea

Jackson, 24, is understandably worried about his chances of reaching Chelsea’s starting eleven after Brighton & Hove Albion’s João Pedro and Ipswich’s Liam Delap joined.

According to reports, Manchester United believes that if Gyokeres’ deal falls through and they need to find someone else, they shouldn’t overlook his demonstrated Premier League experience. Jackson has played 81 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, tallying 30 goals and 12 assists.

In July 2023, he paid £32 million to move from Villarreal to Chelsea.
