Alisson battled to finish Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City after looking to suffer a hamstring injury late in the game.
“With Ali (Alisson), it’s a little less, so we’ll see – not day by day, he won’t play tomorrow, Sunday, and probably not the week after,” the Premier League-winning coach told the press.
Klopp said that the Brazilian’s injury was not as severe as initially feared, saying, “No, but bad enough.” That’s bad enough.”
Klopp also stated that Caoimhin Kelleher would replace Alisson in goal.
“Diogo will take a little bit longer, we don’t know exactly how long, but it’s a bit more severe. We have to see,” Klopp said about the Portuguese winger’s status.
